Kurt D'Angelo is very excited to be a part of the team at Equitable Advisors in Syracuse, NY where their professional, supportive, and positive approach to guiding clients towards their financial goals of their clients is second to none.
Growing up in a lower class household, Kurt was taught the meaning of hard work and the importance of spending money wisely. In order to meet his goal of graduating from college, he had to work several hours in the fields of a produce farm, mowing lawns, shoveling snow, and flipping burgers. The hard work payed off when Kurt graduated Cum Laude from Oswego State University in the spring of 2002 with a BS in Secondary Education Mathematics and a Minor in Coaching. While student teaching at Oswego High School, a math position opened up to which Kurt applied for and was hired full time in the fall of 2002. During his 5 year tenure at the Oswego High School, Kurt managed to obtain his Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Oswego State University which he payed for in cash. Kurt was also able to pay off my undergraduate college loans early by doubling and tripling up on the payments. Sports have always been a big part of Kurt's life and helped him stay disciplined to achieve his goals. Kurt was motivated to pass his knowledge on to others through coaching as well. Over the 15 years Mr. D'Angelo taught in Oswego (5 years at the High School and 10 years at the Middle School), he coached several teams and hundreds of athletes for 14 years. Wrestling was his biggest passion and he spent most of his time after school in the Oswego Middle School wrestling room.
